Several train problems have slowed down Metro’s Red Line during the early part of Wednesday’s rush hour.
First a signal problem at Silver Spring, around 3:30 p.m., and then a train malfunction that forced passengers to disembark at NoMa-Gallaudet around 4:20 p.m. clogged the system.
At 5:17 p.m., a Metro spokeswoman said that the delays had just cleared and trains were running on time again. At the same time, one passenger tweeted this photograph of a crowded platform:https://twitter.com/aadragna/status/481908947486388224
Another Metro spokesman said that a train offloaded at Union Station around 5:10 p.m. A passenger captured the scene:https://twitter.com/nwoconnor/status/481912239834664961
