Trains are no longer sharing a track on Metro’s Red Line. But some residual delays remain due to an earlier medical emergency.

Trains are sharing a track on Metro’s Red Line between Grosvenor and Medical Center stops. There is a medical emergency at the Grosvenor station. Riders should expect delays in both directions, Metro said.

Normal service is now back on the Yellow Line.

Metro said power is back at the Medical Center stop on the Red Line. Trains are running to the station. And escalators and elevators are back in service.

Riders on Metro’s Yellow Line should expect delays. There was an earlier problem with a train at the Mt. Vernon Square stop. The delays are in the direction of the Huntington stop.

There are no working elevators or escalators at the Medical Center stop on Metro’s Red Line. There is a power outage, Metro said.

The station is open and buses are available, the transit agency said.

This comes as Metro enters its second work day of SafeTrack, the major repair effort of its rail system.
