Delays for Metro riders on Orange and Silver lines

Metro said normal service is back on the Orange and Silver lines. But trains continue to share a track on part of the Yellow Line between the Huntington and Braddock Road stops.

Three Metro rail lines are experiencing problems Tuesday morning.

Crews are dealing with unexpected track work, the transit agency said, on the Orange and Silver lines between the Ballston and Virginia Square stops. It was not immediately clear exactly what the problem involved.

And on the Yellow Line, there are delays in both directions because of track problems near the Huntington stop. Trains are sharing a track between the Huntington and Braddock Road stops.

It is not clear how long the delays will last on each of the rail lines.
