I-395 northbound in D.C. was blocked by protesters holding “Trump” signs, police said, but all lanes are now clear.

D.C. police tweeted at around 1:30 p.m. that 395 was blocked around Exit 4.

A spokesman for the department said the protesters were holding “Trump” signs, but it was unclear if the protesters were demonstrating for or against the president-elect.

Images shared on social media showed signs that read “Stop Trumpism.”

At around 1:45 p.m., police said the lanes were clear, but protesters remained on the scene.
