A D.C. streetcar and a Metro bus collided in Northeast Washington on Friday morning, authorities said.
Ten people suffered minor injuries, D.C. fire officials said. Some were complaining of neck and back pain and were expected to be transferred to a hospital, according to Doug Buchanan, a spokesman for the D.C. fire department.
He said an initial investigation showed that the streetcar rear-ended the bus at 11th and H streets NE.
Sherri Ly, a spokeswoman for Metro, said there were eight passengers on the X2 bus at the time of the crash. She said the bus was stopped at the intersection when it was rear-ended by the streetcar.
