Bladensburg Road in Prince George’s County remains closed in both directions after a crash that caused wires and a pole to go down in the area.

The crash happened near Annapolis Road early Thursday morning. It is not clear how long the road will remain closed. Drivers should avoid the area.

All lanes of Bladensburg Road near Annapolis Road in Bladensburg, Md., are closed Thursday morning after a crash.

The road is closed at this time in both directions — north and south — near Annapolis Road, which is also known as MD 450, and it is not immediately clear when it will reopen. The lanes are blocked because of downed wires and poles, authorities said.

It is not immediately known if anyone was seriously hurt.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
