Metro trains are getting back to normal operations on the Blue, Orange and Silver lines after earlier delays caused by crews removing equipment from overnight work.

But there is a delay one the Red Line because of a broken down train at the Twinbrook stop. It is not clear how long that delay will last.

Riders on Metro’s Blue, Orange and Silver lines should expect delays Wednesday morning.

Trains are sharing a track on the Blue and Orange lines between the Smithsonian and Federal Center SW stops.

And on the Silver Line, trains are running between the Wiehle-Reston East stop and Ballston stops.

Crews were doing overnight work on the line and they were late getting the equipment off the rail line, according to Metro.

It is not clear how long the delays will last. Riders should expect delays in both directions of the line.
