The unauthorized person who was on Metro’s tracks on the Green Line is no longer there, according to a spokeswoman for the agency. It was not immediately clear who the person was or how they had gotten onto the tracks.
But trains were starting to return to normal service. No one was injured.

There is an “unauthorized person” on the Metro tracks near the Anacostia station. The incident is causing delays in both directions on the Green Line and it is unclear how long the delays will last.
Metro did not immediately return a phone call about the incident. It is not clear at this time why the person is on the tracks.
