Tim Tebow was back in a familiar spot — on the sidelines — Wednesday night.

This time, the New York Jets’ occasional quarterback was rooting on the Florida Gators, the team he led to two national championships, in the Sugar Bowl. It didn’t work out too well, with Louisville upsetting the Gators, but there was a comfort level for Tebow.

With his future with the Jets up in the air, Tebow did a little pregame analysis with ESPN, naturally, and tiptoed and tap-danced around questions about his plans.

“I’m just so blessed to be here tonight,” Tebow said. “To be able to be part of Gator Nation.”

But…but…what about next season?

“I’m not sure, but I’m going to enjoy tonight,” Tebow said.

Rough translation: it’s over in New York.
