Lindsey Vonn shares a post-op photo (no sign of Tiger Woods)

Lindsey Vonn admits she doesn’t like hospital photos, but she posted one anyway on Facebook, along with an update not long after she underwent reconstructive knee surgery.

“Success! Surgery went very well yesterday and I’m recovering at home in [V]ail with my family,” she wrote Monday. “I want to sincerely thank everyone for their well wishes these last few days. It’s going to be a long and hard road back but I will be back!! Xoxo Lv @gopro #postsergurypic #idontlikehospitalpics”

Vonn tore her anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in a scary crash in a Super-G race in the world championships last week. She also broke a bone in her lower leg, complicating her recovery a bit with the 2014 Winter Games less than 12 months away. Vonn’s post drew nearly 47,000 likes, a strong message of support as she tries to work her way back to competition.

There was no mention, however, of Tiger Woods, with whom Vonn has been linked romantically. Neither she nor Woods has addressed the buzz, but People.com reports that they are dating.

“Tiger and Lindsey have been friends for a while, and nothing started out romantically at all,” a source told People. “But they really have a lot in common and got closer and closer. He still refers to her as ‘my very good friend,’ but he’s been spending more and more time talking to her – and talking about her.”

The source adds that Woods and Vonn, who was divorced earlier this year, talk and text each other frequently. He reportedly dispatched his private jet to fly her from Austria home to Vail, Colo., for surgery.

“Tiger really does want a woman who he can have good conversations with,” he says. “He wants shared interests and outlooks. He is finding that with [Lindsey].”
