The Detroit Lions have reached agreement with their top free-agent target, running back Reggie Bush.
Bush, who arrived this morning in a white limousine, and the Lions agreed to a four-year deal. Pro Football Talk first reported the news. Bush rushed for 2,072 yards over two seasons with the Miami Dolphins and reportedly has been offered a chance to start for the Lions, whose offense hasn’t recovered from the loss of Javhid Best. Bush was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2006.
The Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals also expressed interest in Bush. The Washington Redskins were interested, but are hamstrung with salary-cap issues.
