Notre Dame uniforms are shockingly green

Notre Dame’s green Adidas zubaz uniforms were blooming Thursday night in the Big East tournament in Madison Square Garden.

Everyone knew that this look was going to make an appearance, but somehow the overall effect was still shocking — and more jarring than Cincinnati’s duds. There should be a rule that players must stay five feet away from each other at all times while wearing them. Otherwise, as Eric Stangel of the “Late Show with David Letterman” found out the hard way:

ESPN’s Jay Bilas said it “looks like someone had a Shamrock Shake and threw up on them.”

To those who point out that the Pittsburgh Steelers’ throwbacks were every bit as bad, at least there’s history behind those.
