Bucknell center Mike Muscala averaged a double-double during the regular season with 19 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, but he’s going to need a big second half to reach those marks today against Butler.
The 6-foot-11 senior was at the center of his team’s offensive struggles in a forgettable first half. He has two points on 1-of-9 shooting with four rebounds and a turnover so far as the 11th-seeded Bison trail the sixth-seeded Bulldogs, 21-14.
Bucknell has shot 25.9 percent from the field as a team but remains within striking distance because Butler has only been marginally better, missing all nine of its three-point attempts.
Well, that’s not the Mike Muscala that had been on display during the regular season. He only had two. Needs to step up for Bucknell to win.
