Melissa McCarthy outdoes Mike Rice on “SNL” (video)

Mike Rice, fired as the Rutgers men’s basketball coach last week after a tape of his physical and verbal abuse of players surfaced, has nothing on Melissa McCarthy’s Coach Sheila Kelly.

In a “Saturday Night Live” send-up of the Rice scandal, Kelly swung a baseball bat, drove a golf cart, fired a T-shirt gun and threw a toaster at her “Middle Delaware State” players.

The sports references didn’t end there. Kenan Thompson showed up on “Weekend Update” as Charles Barkley, making the obligatory gambling and Michael Jordan jokes (“he’s the Michael Jordan of gambling.”).

And Dennis Rodman showed up to botch the “Live from New York” opening.
