Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger underwent minor knee surgery today, the team announced.
The procedure was described as “minor” by Coach Mike Tomlin and was performed because of “slight discomfort this offseason.” Roethlisberger has been participating in all of the Steelers’ organized team activities this spring.
“We advised him to get the surgery done to ensure he will be completely healthy for the start of training camp,” Tomlin said in a statement released by the Steelers. “This surgery will have no long-term effects on his health.”
Keep this in mind regarding Ben’s knee surgery. Since 2004 Roethlisberger sacked a league high 344 times… 110 more than 2nd place QB
