Wide receiver Jacoby Jones isn’t quite in Albert Haynesworth territory, but he did end up on the non-football injury test Monday when he failed the Baltimore Ravens’ conditioning test.

Jones learned the hard way that “Dancing with the Stars” isn’t quite the cardiovascular workout he might have envisioned when he couldn’t pass a series of timed interval runs and wasn’t cleared to practice Monday. He’ll give it another go today, ESPN reports, and is expected to sashay off the list.

With Anquan Boldin traded to the San Francisco 49ers, Jones has the inside track to start opposite Torrey Smith, but there’ll be competition.

“Jacoby right now is the No. 2 guy,” receivers coach Jim Hostler said earlier this spring (via the Baltimore Sun’s Ravens Insider). “So right now, Torrey and Jacoby are starting, so that’s definitely going to be more than Jacoby did last year.”

Jones was the third receiver last season and made the Pro Bowl as a kick returner.

“It wasn’t like last year when we had two guys that were the two front-runners and everybody is playing for that third and fourth spot,” Hostler said. “Now, everybody is playing for that second spot.”
