Police divers have returned for a second day to search a murky Briston, Conn., lake for evidence related to the murder that Aaron Hernandez has been accused of committing.

Pine Lake, which covers 54 acres, is in the hometown of Hernandez, who has been charged with the June 17 shooting death of semipro football player Odin Lloyd. Although authorities have not said what they are searching for, the murder weapon, believed to be a .45-caliber Glock, has never been recovered.

Hernandez, who is being held without bail in a Massachusetts jail, has pleaded not guilty to murder and gun-related charges. The body of Lloyd, a friend of Hernandez’s, was bout about a mile from Hernandez’s North Attleboro, Mass., home.
