Red Sox, Rays battle on Twitter, too

Everyone, it seems, was a little fiesty after the Tampa Bay Rays moved into first place in the American League East by beating the Boston Red Sox 2-1 with the help of a blown call at the plate Monday.

Especially the people tasked with tweeting on the teams’ official feeds. First, the Rays offered assistance to the scoreboard operator at Fenway Park.


Then the Red Sox fired back:


Oof. That would be Sept. 10, 11 and 12 at Tropicana Field.
