A week after being cut by the New England Patriots, Tim Tebow remains a free agent, just waiting, waiting, waiting for a team to express interest.
One team did so, Peter King reported on NBC’s “Kickoff” show Thursday night. The hitch? Tebow wants to be, as he said last year during his time with the New York Jets and after being cut by the Patriots, a quarterback. He refused to change positions when contacted by an NFL team that King did not identify.
He is committed to keeping “the NFL dream alive,” King said, in an echo of Tebow’s Aug. 31 tweet about remaining in “relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback,” and has turned down the CFL and USA Rugby.
