The NFL has cracked down on taunting…and low hits…and high hits. Next up: profanity.

Dean Blandino, the league’s vice president of officiating, told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen on Saturday that officials want to focus on “actions [verbal or otherwise] directed at an opponent.”

Part of this stems from the Jets-Patriots bleepfest for lip readers Thursday night, but it won’t cover the eminently GIF-able, cursing-to-the-skies-or-teammate expletive.
