Floyd Mayweather wins bet on Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M

Floyd Mayweather did what Johnny Manziel cannot do: he got paid for Manziel’s performance Saturday.

Money Mayweather invested wisely, placing some of the $41.5 million he earned only a week ago in a victory over Canelo Alvarez on Manziel and Texas A&M. His bet? $220,000 that A&M would cover a 17.5-point first-half spread against Southern Methodist. A&M was up 32-6 at halftime and went on to win, 42-13, with Manziel passing for 244 yards and running for 102.

And Mayweather, who nearly doubled his dough, couldn’t resist rubbing it in a little, which doesn’t seem right somehow.
