Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett was evaluated at a Houston hospital and released after suffering one of the scariest injuries of the season so far.

A CT scan of his back revealed no damage and he will return to Seattle with the Seahawks. The injury occurred just before halftime when Bennett pressured quarterback Matt Schaub and Texans left tackle Ryan Harris pushed Bennett into Schaub. Bennett’s head and body snapped backward.

As he lay on the field receiving medical attention, his father, wearing a Bennett jersey in a sea of Texans fans, was calling his son’s name as Bennett was strapped to a gurney and taken from the field.
