It seems unthinkable to imagine Larry Fitzgerald in anything other than an Arizona Cardinals uniform, but his name surfaced in trade reports and rumors over the weekend.
Fitzgerald, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday, could be traded after the season and there’s even the possibility of a trade before Tuesday’s deadline. He didn’t seem concerned about those rumors after catching four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown in Arizona’s 27-13 victory in Atlanta.
“I come to work every day and just focus on how I can help the Arizona Cardinals and help my team win,” he told AZCentral.com’s Bob McManaman. “If they decide to move me, that happens. I have no control over any of that. I just focus on what I can do to improve and help my team.”
Fitzgerald became the youngest NFL receiver to reach 800 receptions on Sunday. He is set to make $13 million next season, counting $18 million against the salary cap.
