NFL trade deadline passes with only Eagles, Patriots dealing

There’s virtually nothing doing as the NFL trade deadline passes. (Gene J. Puskar / AP)

The NFL trade deadline passed with … very little happening.

Oh, the Philadelphia Eagles traded defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga and a sixth-round pick to the New England Patriots for a fifth-round pick. But Jared Allen remains with the Minnesota Vikings, Josh Gordon with the Cleveland Browns, Hakeem Nicks with the New York Giants, Larry Fitzgerald with the Arizona Cardinals and Tony Gonzalez with the Atlanta Falcons. Fred Davis also remains with the Washington Redskins, Anthony Dixon with the San Francisco 49ers and Kenny Britt with the Tennessee Titans.

And so on…
