Soccer fans in Serbia took passion to another level Saturday, setting fire to the stadium during the “Eternal Derby” between Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade.

Fans began to stir when Red Star took a 1-0 lead in the match between Belgrade’s two big clubs, throwing flares onto the pitch and then setting bonfires in the stands. The match was stopped at one point, when a firetruck came onto the field in a futile attempt to put out the fires and smoke enveloped the stadium.

Eventually, the smoke cleared, the fires were extinguished and Red Star managed to hold on for the win.
