Harlem Globetrotters dunk brings down basket (video)

An alley-oop turned alley-oops nearly had tragic consequences for one member of the Harlem Globetrotters.

William “Bull” Bullard went up for a dunk and, as he hung onto the rim with his feet on the backboard, the whole stanchion collapsed upon him. He escaped any kind of injury, like, say, being crushed to death, and returned to the court after leaving for a bit to have a cut over his eye bandaged. Bull, in case you’re wondering, is listed at 6-foot-4, 217 pounds.

Good lord, Globetrotters, be careful out there.
