For the fifth time in the last eight years, one of the two Super Bowl teams will be quarterbacked by a guy named Manning.
This time, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos advanced to the Feb. 2 Super Bowl XLVIII in MetLife Stadium with a 26-16 victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
It was a rotten, terrible, awful day for Brady, whose frustration was captured in one GIF.
Really, only one person had a worse day: Miles, the mascot Bronco-horsey guy:

Manning was having a field day, with his family and brother Eli Manning watching from a luxury box. It was also a good day for Omaha, although Manning never really explained his obsession with it. He also hollered Marshall at the line of scrimmage and maybe that was a little less mysterious.
Peyton Manning is yelling "Marshall" a lot today. That's the name of his young son.

Sometimes, it just seemed like the maestro was messing with us.
Whatever he was saying, it worked. He completed 32-of-43 passes for 400 yards and two touchdowns. Then he got a confetti shower.
Manning will play in the big game for the third time and will try to win for the second. After missing the 2011 season as he fought his way through multiple neck surgeries, there was a moment to savor just what he and the Broncos had accomplished. “I’m telling you, it’s hard to get to the Super Bowl,” he said. “It’s hard to win it, but it’s hard to get there.”
We lost in dramatic fashion and then went to the SB the next year…Den lost the same way and earned it this year…they deserve to go
