A winter storm snarled traffic in Atlanta and left people stranded on highways and in drug stores and schools overnight, but at least one lucky citizen was rescued — by former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones.

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman put out an SOS on Twitter early Tuesday evening.

Taylor Higgins, Jones’s girlfriend, had Jones on a mission by late night.
