The Premise: When Lt. Chuck Nadd returned home from his deployment, he only expected to see his family and his girlfriend. He thought he was being followed by a camera crew for a documentary about soldiers’ homecomings.
The Punchline: After an emotional reunion, he’s treated to a flash-mob parade in his honor. This commercial is earnest and packs an emotional punch, especially when older veterans are shown cheering for Nadd.
The Verdict: Tell everyone that it’s the onions you’re chopping for the guacamole that are making your eyes watery. Between this and the puppy commercial, Budweiser will be known as the beer that made America cry today.
