Adam Muema, a former running back at San Diego State, headed for the NFL scouting combine last week, like so many aspiring professional football players.

Muema didn’t stick around, though. He left before running back drills, saying that he was “following God.” According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, he received a divine message that, if he skipped workouts, he would play for the Seattle Seahawks. Playing for the Seahawks is his dream even though they have a lot of talent at the position, so he’ll be content to work out for NFL scouts at San Diego State’s pro day.

In a phone conversation, he told the Union-Tribune that God He also told the Union-Tribune that God told him “to sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace.”

Muema, who rushed for 1,244 yards and scored 15 touchdowns last season, is likely to be a fourth-to-seventh round pick.

“Can’t go wrong with God,” he said.
