LeBron James surprises Heat with WWE championship belts

What does the man who has everything get the team that has everything?

Why, WWE championship belts, of course. A wee bit overstated perhaps, but the more bling, the more love, right? LeBron James announced his gift to his Miami Heat teammates Wednesday evening.

Always wanted to be the WWE Heavyweight World Champion so today I surprised my teammates with their own for their collection. And by the way it’s a Great time to be a @WWE fan with the launch of#WWENetwork #LoveMyTeammates#WWEStandOutAsAKid #StriveForGreatness

James, a huge pro wrestling fan, put this in the works months ago and came through with a personalized belt for each teammate (Ray Allen’s says “Jesus Shuttlesworth,” of course). His interest was piqued in late December when he saw Philadelphia Eagles running back Le Sean McCoy celebrate his league rushing title by wearing a belt during a postgame interview.

The Rock offered him his belt, but evidently one wasn’t enough.

James’s teammates were thrilled (although Mario Chalmers was probably just happy because no one was yelling at him).

Maybe next he can get them all masks.
