In his obligatory sessions with reporters at the NFL owners’ meetings, New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick was relaxed, smiling, giving of information and full of good-natured banter as he delivered polysyllabic answers.

Who was this guy?

Belichick, it was pointed out, did not for the second straight year participate in the “team photo” of all 32 coaches.  “Maybe they can Photoshop me in there,” he quipped (via the Boston Globe). Which is perfect only if they have him in his Halloween pirate costume.

He was his asked his opinion on the expense of having to help with reviews of instant replays.

“Maybe we could have a bake sale, raise some money for the cameras. We could do a car wash,” he joked (we think). “We just spent however many million dollars on the replay system. I mean, there’s a thousand cameras in every stadium, so if somebody spills a beer on somebody we have it on record, right?”
