Magic Johnson. What is worst “Jeopardy” answer ever? (video)

Everyone has, at one time or another, been in Joe’s shoes. You know, the moment when someone asks you an easy sports trivia question and you utterly, completely whiff on it.

Maybe you’re too eager to answer because you knew that you knew after about 10 nanoseconds. Or maybe you think you’re the Grand Exalted Poobah of All Sports Knowledge and karma catches up with you. Whatever, it’s an awful moment, made worse by only one thing: the presence of Alex Trebek dismissing you with a quick, Seinfeld-ian “oh, no” in front of a “Jeopardy” audience.

That happened to Joe, who got the answer “100+ assists has been accomplished only 13 times in an NHL season, 11 times by this player.” Joe jumped to supply the question:

“Who is Magic Johnson?”

“We’re talking about hockey, not the NBA,” Trebek added.

Just because.
