Adrien Payne has monster dunk, goes bowling — with luck from Princess Lacey (video)

On Thursday night, Adreian Payne won hearts, even if he didn’t win the College Slam-Dunk Contest.

The Michigan State star came up with a delivery that was:

1) Poignant. It began when Lacey Holsworth, the little Spartans fan who is battling cancer, touched the ball for luck. Payne and Holsworth bonded earlier this season and she has been Payne’s and the Spartans’ biggest fan.

2) Well-executed. His 360 dunk was powerful and perfect.

3) Hilarious. Afterward, he used the ball to bowl everyone over.

Payne finished third with Eastern Kentucky’s Marcus Lewis taking the prize.
