Fox News anchor calls UConn the “NAACP national champs”

Oops.

Heather Childers, an anchor for “Fox & Friends First,” misspoke Tuesday morning, announcing in the second hour of the morning show that:

“The UConn Huskies are the 2014 NAACP national champs.”

Childers correctly said “NCAA,” which stands for National Collegiate Athletic Association, on her next reference. The NAACP is the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
