Lloimincia Hill, a tiny gymnast at LSU, is making big waves with a floor routine that’s consistently scoring 10s.

She’s imaginative and enthusiastic and her performances generate a kind of excitement that’s unusual in the sport. Last weekend her third perfect 10 of the season helped LSU advance to Semifinal I of the NCAA championships on April 18 in Birmingham, Ala., where the top three teams will advance to the Super Six the next day. Already, video of her perfect 10 in January — she has had five in her career — has been viewed almost 240,000 times.

Hill, a junior from Dallas, has moves that are rarely seen in gymnastics — the mind reels at the thought of how Olympics judges might react — but maybe this is the start of something.
