The Nets have been using actor Michael K. Williams — Omar Little from “The Wire,” but you knew that — to introduce the lineup during their playoff series against Toronto. On Sunday, the Brooklyn native used his opportunity to let the world know what he thought of a certain NBA owner under fire for alleged racist commentary.
Williams strode onto the Barclays Center court, microphone in hand, and immediately told the crowd, “There is no room in the NBA for Donald Sterling!” His words echoed those of LeBron James, who had earlier told the Miami Herald that “if the reports are true” then “there is no room for Donald Sterling in our league. There is no room for him.”
