LeBron James, Michael Jordan hug it out after Heat sweep

Farewell, Bobcats. The team’s season — and use of that nickname — ended with a sweep at the hands of the Heat. After the game, Miami star LeBron James hugged Bobcats Hornets owner Michael Jordan, which ordinarily might not seem like a big deal. After all, it’s one superstar to another, the end of a playoff series, etc.

But the embrace has a little more meaning in light of what happened in Game 3, when James appeared to be giving Jordan, who was seated at the end of his team’s bench, a stare-down en route a dunk.

After the game, James strenuously denied that he was doing anything of the kind during that dunk, and perhaps he used his postgame moment with Jordan to reiterate that stance. Still, one can only hope that the photo to the left shows Jordan telling James, “Nice series, LeBron, and good luck. But don’t you EVER show me up like that again, or I’ll sic Charles Oakley on your butt.”
