It’s not so uncommon when sports stars head to Hollywood, but it’s not so often that actors enter the world of sports. While C.J. Sanders, the actor who played the younger version of Ray Charles in the 2004 movie “Ray,” doesn’t have the box-office appeal of, say, the film’s star Jamie Foxx, he can certainly play ball. On Tuesday, Sanders committed to play for Notre Dame, Yahoo! Sports reported.
Sanders had some help getting into the game. Both his dad, Chris Sanders, and stepdad Corey Harris played in the NFL. If C.J. Sanders, a wide receiver, can bring half the intensity he did to “Ray” to the Fighting Irish’s games, he might also have an NFL future.
