Remember that sweet Danish soccer tifo that happened earlier this week at Parken Stadium? The one where we praised the jovial cooperation of rival fan groups from Copenhagen and Brondby? You know, this one?
It turns out that cooperation didn’t last too long. Directly after the game, which ended in a 1-1 draw, about 200 fans partook in a massive brawl outside the stadium, the Danish site Politiken reports. Police inspector Peter Dahl told the paper:
“It was really nice before and during the game, but it’s annoying that there were some thugs who wanted to fight after the game.”
Twenty people were arrested on charges that included vandalism, fireworks possession, drug possession and violence against police officers, Politiken reports.
Still, it really was an awesome tifo.
