The Lithuanian soccer club Trakai was down 1-0 on Wednesday night when Dzimtry Koub tied it up with an equalizer against Zalgiris, the league’s leader. A simple high-five would not do, however. Instead, he ran into the stands, sat down and gave himself a round of applause. The game ended 1-1.

Sure, that may seem like a unique way to celebrate at first, but a Reddit user dug into the soccer annals and round this running-into-the-stands-to-give-yourself-a-round-of-applause gag has been done before. In 2005, Matthew Russell did it when he scored for the Castleton Gabriels.
