Marlins ballboy makes ‘the play of the year’ with stunning sideline catch

Major league outfielders, you’ll want to pay attention. A Marlins’ ballboy might be coming after your job. Not everyone has moves like these:

“Oh! What a play by the ballboy!” the play caller said Wednesday of the boy’s moves, which came at the top of the third inning. “That’s the play of the year!”

Even more awed probably, is the guy in the seat who would’ve gotten beaned in the head if the ball boy did execute the play so stunningly.

So, who is this the bat boy? His name is Trevor Takacs, On Cloud Conine reports, and he’s as modest as he is talented.

The Marlins ended up beating the Mets, 1-0.
