Manu Ginobili gives blueprint for how to make Gregg Popovich laugh

Gruff, tough San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich, master of the media-eviscerating monosyllabic answer, got a dose of his own medicine over the weekend and it was wonderful.

Even Popovich cracked up.

TNT’s Ernie Johnson asked Manu Ginobili: “What can you say about this guy who doesn’t want to really be center stage on this, Gregg Popovich, standing and listening and watching it, as we do this? About the job that he has done with you this season?”

Ginobili slayed his coach with this perfect response:

“It’s okay.”

Chances are Giddy Gregg will be replaced with Grumpy Gregg again the moment the Spurs’ open the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, so enjoy this while you can.
