WatchESPN and MLS Matchday apps make deals with Google Chromecast

Rejoice sports lovers who can’t get enough sports-related news! ESPN’s WatchESPN video-streaming apps for Android and Apple iOS are now Google Chromecast capable. reports:

For ESPN, the Chromecast deal marks the sixth connected-TV device platform supported by WatchESPN, including Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon’s Fire TV. Users must download an updated version of the WatchESPN app before they can cast live or on-demand clips to the Chromecast.

In other sports-streaming news, Major League Soccer’s MLS Matchday app and MLS Live premium service also made a deal with Google to become Chromecast capable. reports:

“Casting MLS LIVE is only the beginning. We are also working to support our video on-demand content like MLS Insider and AT&T Goal of the Week and hope to roll that feature out later this year.”
