Nineteen-year-old Nick Kyrgios did a lot of things right en route to his surprising Wimbledon ouster of 14-time Grand Slam champ Rafael Nadal. But his most impressive moment had to be a through-the-legs effort that turned into a drop-shot winner. The successful bit of razzle-dazzle could only have boosted the Australian teen’s confidence, and he went on to beat one of the heavy favorites, 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, despite the fact that this is the first time Kyrgios has participated in the legendary tournament.

This former editor and part-time writer at The Post is now happy to prove that if you combine 'blowhard' and 'blaggard,' you get 'blogger.' He previously had used 'Desmond Bieler' as his byline, but feels that shortening the first name to 'Des' nicely conveys his ever-decreasing gravitas. He also covers Fantasy Football.
