Jesper Parnevik breaks his rib on a Segway and the video looks as painful as it sounds

Pro golfer Jesper Parnevik on a Segway. What could possibly go wrong? A lot actually.

That disastrous (although slightly comedic) fall resulted in a broken rib for the Swedish golfer. Luckily, Parnevik, who once also nearly cut off his finger in boating accident, took it in good humor. Not only did he post the video of the incident on Instagram, but he added the caption, “Haha, of all injuries I’v [sic] had, this is the most ridiculous!! Broke a rib and had to withdraw from all events this month.”

Parnevik can also take comfort knowing he’s not alone in ridiculous Segway crashes in golf. Let’s not forget that Brandt Snedeker lost his balance on a Segway at China’s WGC-HSBC Champions and strained his ACL in November. That injury put the American out for a few weeks.
