Lionel Messi did not get to hoist the World Cup trophy after Argentina lost to Germany in Sunday’s final.

But Rihanna did.

The Barbadian singer was at Sunday’s final at the Maracana and has claimed Germany as her own before Drake could swoop in, as he has for Kentucky basketball, the Miami Heat, the New York Knicks, the Brooklyn Nets, the Toronto Raptors/Maple Leafs/Blue Jays, Johnny Manziel, LeBron James, Manchester United and the Cleveland Indians.

She then got to party with the Germans. The World Cup trophy made an appearance.
