Floyd Mayweather on Ronda Rousey: ‘I don’t even know who he is.’

(Noah K. Murray/USA TODAY Sports)

Floyd Mayweather is not a mixed martial arts fan. Either that or he just doesn’t follow the women’s division because he recently claimed he has idea who current UFC bantamweight women’s champion Ronda Rousey is. But that’s not the biggest news. The more surprising part of this story is that Mayweather apparently thinks Ronda is the first name of a guy.

“I don’t even know who he is,” Mayweather said when a reporter asked him about Rousey, who UFC President Dana White has said could beat Mayweather in a fight.

White responded to Mayweather’s remark today, telling MMA Nation:

“What’s Floyd going to say? That’s a lose-lose situation for Floyd. For him to even acknowledge that he knows who Ronda is, and that she could possibly beat him in a fight, ya know, that’s what I’d expect him to say.”
