Ex-WCW wrestler Sting makes first official WWE appearance alongside Hulk Hogan and Daniel Bryan

When the WWE revealed earlier this month that Sting would be a playable character for those who pre-order the WWE 2K15 video game, speculation exploded about what this would mean for the former WCW wrestler. Would the most famous wrestler never to have been a WWE superstar finally, finally sign a WWE contract and get in the ring?

Whether the 55-year-old will see in-ring action is still undecided, but today it became a bit more clear that at least Sting’s new role with the WWE was more than just a one-time stint in a video game ad.

Sting appeared alongside WWE stars Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan and Paul Heyman in a surprise promotional appearance at ComicCon in San Diego today.

The foursome appeared on alongside WWE commentatory Michael Cole on a Mattel panel about action figures.

Hopefully Sting enjoys being in the spotlight again because many fans would love to see more.
