Watch Clayton Kershaw hit Jimmy Kimmel in the face with a baseball

(EPA/ERIK S. LESSER)

Clayton Kershaw may be the the best pitcher in baseball, but Jimmy Kimmel might argue otherwise after last night.

During a special segment on his show, Kimmel sat down with safety goggles and an apple on his head, turning Kershaw into a late-night version of William Tell. Kimmel banked on Kershaw’s pinpoint accuracy to knock the ball cleanly off his head, but in hindsight, would have probably settled for another Kershaw no-hitter. Fortunately, Kimmel played it relatively safe and at least did not use real baseballs.
